Help Adain!

Adain Attachment-1 (2)Attachment-1 (3)

Adain’s Story

My name is Adain Andrews and I am 12 years old. I have been battling two chronic illnesses for the past two and half years. I have Dysautonomia, which means none of my auto nervous system works correctly.Since my whole body is affected by it, I have lots of very challenging issues. My stomach doesn’t wake up- I can’t control my temperature – my eyes and ears don’t see or hear right- my skin is super sensitive – and my colon and other internal organs don’t always function right.

I also have Neurocardiogenic Syncope. That means my blood does not circulate correctly.

I have been home schooled the last two years because of being sick. I tried to attend 6th grade this year in a regular school but after only five weeks I started to vomit every day. This lasted 40 days and we made many trips to my specialists in Columbus and Toledo. When I finally stopped vomiting I started blacking out and having seizures. I now black out and have seizures at least 30 to 40 times a day. I have to be confined to a wheelchair because I am a fall risk and it’s very difficult to think and sleep. My mom, dad and big sister spend all day taking care of me.

It’s been very tough on all of us. My mom can only work part time and my daddy lost his job earlier this summer. He just found a new job, but it’s only part time right now. His good friend told us about your organization and that you might be able to help.

I am going to start seeing a new specialist in Cleveland soon and our van is not working so well. It’s our only vehicle and we really need another one. It’s over three hours away to Cleveland. Our friend said you might be able to help. Since I am not sure what’s wrong with me now, it’s very scary for all of us. We are not sure what the future holds for me but I am strong and brave and I know with God by my side I can handle anything. Thank you for letting me share my story and God Bless.

Our goal is to raise $7000 in order to buy a van (that can fit Adain’s wheelchair) so the Andrews family can travel to Cleveland.

We are looking for a reliable van that is eight years old or newer with fewer than 100,000 miles. The sooner we can help, the better, as this little girl needs treatment soon as possible!  If a supporter wants to donate a van we will gladly accept and use cash donated to either repair the van or for gas cards.
